We believe in hope and possibility. We believe our world is both broken and beautiful. We believe our calling is to help build the Beloved Community, where there is justice and equity for all people and all places beyond the borders that seek to divide us.
We believe our religious responsibility is to the common good. Together, we work to confront the injustices of discrimination based on false truths of race, class, age, sexual identity and sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity and religious identity. We believe in inclusion, hospitality, the common good, and the interdependence of all of us. We believe in love.
We are a Welcoming Congregation – affirming and celebrating the presence of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and all people regardless of sexual identity or sexual orientation. Our congregation is a strong advocate for LGBTQI equality in our church and in society.
We are working toward becoming a Green Sanctuary church, affirming our need to live in right relationship with the land, be good stewards of the earth, and confront environmental degradation.
Our congregation continues to address a variety of justice issues, including:
- Racial Justice
- Immigration Justice
- Reproductive Justice
- Economic Justice
- Environmental Justice
- Marriage Equality
- Gun reform
- Peace and Non-violence
Together, we ask tough questions, seek common goals, as we learn and act in love. We gather here to grow our souls and serve the world.
