One World at a Time (07-19-15 Sermon)

“… whenever our personal worlds are turned upside down by terrific change or horrific loss, the first and most important thing is not about strategies and outcomes at all. It is the call to pause and tend to what is closest at hand and deepest in the heart; to listen to others and to our own yearnings without expecting to know in advance what we will hear, to cultivate the curiosity to learn what this moment might mean and then to muster the courage to move through it with our hearts and minds open to the wide terrain of the unknown into which it leads.”

– Rev. Karen Hering, “One World at a Time”
