Pastoral Care

We want to support you.

There are so many possible reasons that you might need pastoral care, and we hope you’ll reach out when you feel the need.

Needs might include:

  • If you have a joy or sorrow to submit for our Sunday morning meditation time…
  • If you have received a challenging health diagnosis…
  • If you are struggling mentally or emotionally, with addiction or depression or anxiety…
  • If you have experienced a grief or loss and you’re looking for support…
  • If you have just had surgery (or if for some other acute reason) you need some basic support (rides, meals, chores)…
  • If you’re looking for a support group…
  • If you’re in need of a session with a minister to talk through a spiritual or existential crisis…

You can reach our ministers by calling Rev. Jack Gaede (651-204-8204) or via e-mail.

Want to be a part of our Pastoral Care Ministry?

If you would like to contribute to the Pastoral Care Ministry of the church, please contact Rev. Jack. He can help find an opportunity that will fit your skills and interests!

We have four different Pastoral Care teams focused on different aspects of the care journey:

  1. Card Ministry Team – Writing cards of support and encouragement to our members and friends
  2. Support Network – Working to provide meals and rides and occasionally offer help with chores
  3. Outreach Team – Making calls to congregants who have an immediate short-term crisis or who just need some acute support
  4. Companion Team – Providing support and companionship to our congregants who have long-term health challenges–especially those who are homebound or terminally ill.
