About Special Collections
WBUUC donates the entire offertory collection at least two Sundays a month to a nonprofit organization or cause chosen by the Social Action Committee. Over the last ten years WBUUC members have given away over $500,000.
Our Current Special Collection
On April 12, the Special Collection is for the Pink Haven Coalition, chosen by the WBUUC youth. Supported by the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), Pink Haven is a trans-led effort to advance trans liberation and oppose fascism. With hundreds of anti-trans bills introduced nationwide, their work is urgent: Pink Haven builds networks of care for trans people and families seeking safety, healthcare access, and welcoming communities.
