About Special Collections
WBUUC donates the entire offertory collection at least two Sundays a month to a nonprofit organization or cause chosen by the Social Action Committee. Over the last ten years WBUUC members have given away over $500,000.
Our Current Special Collection
Our current special collection is for our Refugee Immigrant Assistance Committee & Pink Haven (RIAC). This Sunday’s special collection is to fund work through our Refugee Immigrant Assistance Committee & Pink Haven (RIAC). This committee works with immigrants in the East Metro and with trans people who are moving to Minnesota from other states through the Pink Haven Program, part of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC). RIAC works to ensure that ALL refugees are provided basic needs, such as housing, health care, food and help with employment.
