Music at WBUUC

There is a lively and multitudinous musical community at WBUUC with many ways to create music with one another!

If you are interested in getting involved with any of these music opportunities, please contact our Director of Music Ministries.

Consider joining the choir at WBUUC. Our choir is a 40-60 voice ensemble that rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-8:00pm and sings on Sunday services every other week. While the choir sings diverse and challenging music, the ensemble is open to singers at all skill levels. Rehearsal tracks are provided for nearly every song we sing, and there is extra support available to beginners. Singers are not required to commit to any amount of time in the ensemble, and folks are encouraged to participate as able. This is a lively community where deep relationships are grown.

There is a large community of talented musicians and instrumentalists that make up our various volunteer ensembles. Some of these ensembles include our contemporary band that plays a variety of genres, our brass ensemble, small vocal ensembles, jazz combos, and more!

If you are a true beginner with little to no experience in music making, you are still welcome to join in music making! We offer classes in beginning and intermediate music theory and songwriting, and one-on-one meetings for personalized instruction.

Our sanctuary is a beautiful space with gorgeous acoustics ideal for musical performances. Music on Maple is our long-standing concert series that brings in amazing musical performances that are open to anyone in the community. We also host concerts of our musical community like Evensong choir performances, Cabarets put on by volunteer musicians, and more.

If you are a musician that would like to use our space for your own performance, that is possible as well! See more information on building rental.
