Learn about Tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): The Black Student Union (BSU) at White Bear Lake Area Schools has sponsored several tours to HBCUs and plans another for April. Our speaker, BSU’s advisor Aaron Turner, initiated these tours and has accompanied the students. Learn how these trips can open doors and help students envision themselves as future leaders.

About the presentation: Learn about Minnesota’s bold climate actions and other renewable energy policies fundamental to the good news in countering climate change from speaker J. Drake Hamilton. J. Drake Hamilton, managing director for science policy at the nonprofit organization Fresh Energy, and one of Minnesota’s best-known experts in climate and energy policy at the state and national level.

About the presentation: Want to help our immigrant neighbors? The members of the Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Committee (RIAC) can share their experiences. The committee has been helping immigrants and trans folx for the past several years. They will also suggest organizations that need help.
